Elemental

When I began this series, I had the intention of painting four pieces, one representing each element- but as I painted, I found separating these energies difficult. Not in the sense of definition, it is well understood that fire and air hold yang energy; they yield intelligence, memory, communication, and passion - while water and earth, of yin energy; source strength, grounding, emotion, and healing. 

But more so, they unify.

The energy of these four elements makes up not only our physical world, but our inner worlds. They weave together an intelligence far greater than our limited comprehension, and without each other, would cease. 

So

this triad explores the relationship these energies have with each other, in the physical world, and our inner worlds. 

I invite you to experience each of them through your unique lens, make sense of something you’re seeing, lose it, and perhaps find something else altogether.
